My Fears Come Out To Play

Contributed by pixie on Saturday, 28th August 2004 @ 12:22:10 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

You watch my fears come out to play,
Why can’t you help keep them at bay,
I thought that you loved me deep,
Then why of why does my heart still weep?

I feel like I’m piggy in the middle,
Surrounded & trapped in this cruel riddle,
My fears don’t ever play fair,
They sneak up behind so I don’t know who’s there.

I am filled with doubt, fear & insecurity,
Something has stolen this love’s purity,
Sitting here alone as darkness falls,
Captivated by sadness’ towering walls.

I don’t want to play this game anymore,
But I can’t seem to prise open the door,
It is firmly locked never to be opened,
Someone please help this girl who is broken.

I hear the taunts spoken from fear,
The pathway in my mind is far from clear,
I need to run far away & hide,
Before I truly die from the inside.

Dear little Pixie girl.
Please don't run and hide.....for you take all those fears with you that you have inside.
Carry on with your previous plan for your life....you need help to understand from another source.......and then you'll be able to put your fears on another course!
My how well written the poem is!
You have so much talent.......and I'd suggest that you take your poem to the person that will help.....they can see how.......after reading your poetry.
Sad, and very emotional write
Poetic hugs with warm love
consue

And the wise one once said...do not cast your pearls among swine....for love to fear is sad indeed, what we seek in ourselves should be what we seek in someone else.

Beautiful poem, thank you for sharing.

Pixie I have read your poem and it appears that you have a slight touch of depression. If your love makes you to have fears then look further for some-one that will love you for your own sake. It might be some-one that you know but have never given another thought. think about it and try to keep smiling. hugs from bernard.

Oh, Pix.... this is so obviously from from your heart that it tugs at mine.

I've alway heard it put as "monkey in the middle". But whether piggy or monkey.... I know the feeling. I have been caught between 'him' and fear before... I'll say only this - listen to your heart, it will tell you which direction to go in. Turning to face your fears seems scary, but it isn't as hard as it seems. You're stronger than you know... we all are... Sometimes it's necessary to face your fears - it's hard but there's usually something wonderful on the other side of them.

Hugs and wishes for your happiness,
SNM

very sad..... hopefully this is a captured creative moment in time that reveals the feelings all humans have at one point in their lives; but if you think its more, maybe you should rethink your love, goals, wants, needs and desires... much love, and big hugs, nessa

Another interesting write. The last line is my favorite.
