Grey Days

Grey days pull the wool
Over the eyes of breakfast-nook mornings
And I swear, I’ll get by.
I wake with the comfort of dreams
And realize before I rise
That my dreams are only that
And my days are stone and cold.
To make it to tomorrow
Means to forget yesterday,
and right now,
That’s all I’ve got.
