Only a Moment

Contributed by suzy on Sunday, 3rd November 2002 @ 10:30:00 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Only a moment it takes to lose someone dear
And for misfortune to climb on your plate
Say and do all you can today for tomorrow may be
Only a moment too late

Only a moment of time for us all to prepare
And nothing that can stop us from the fate
All of my feelings I would gladly now share
Only to discover I’m a moment too late

Only a moment and how swiftly they fly
We all know that time just will not wait
For no one or nothing to say a final goodbye
Just for us to find we are a moment too late

Only a moment may mean a million years
Only a moment may cause a million tears
Only a moment can bring us all to our knees
And only a moment can set you free.
