My grandmother died the day I was born
this tale was told to me by my mum
She was a very old woman
and everyone knew she would die sooner
You wouldn't guess how unhappy she was
her friends heartily felt for her loss
She's been wanting to live a little longer
to see me, just to carry me in her arms,
and know if I was a he or she
she's been very ill for so long
thinking she would live a little longer,
to carry me in her arms, like her dreams
but we were wrong
just few minutes before I freed myself,
very early in the morning,
when it clocked twelve
she started feeling weak again
as her eyes became heavy
she couldn't move her legs,
they were heavy
she weakly said few prayers
and her eyes were filled with tears
she knew she was about to die
opening her weak eyes,
there I was in her arms
she couldn't be happier that
God spared her few minutes to fulfill her dream
slowly and slowly on my mother's arms,
I watched her eyes as they close
and gone my grandmother
rest in peace grandma!
