Why is it, that you have to go?
there are greater things we owe
A full thanks for your love
you will always be our beloved
For all the things we needed to know,
to us you have showed
We wish you could stay
just for one more day
We know you're going to a greater place
where you will be welcomed and embraced
we wish you well
in our hearts, we pray you will excel
Maybe we shall meet again,
in happiness or in pain
but there's something we'll always do
We'll always think of you
You just have to follow your heart
as you depart, we'll never be apart
Wherever you may be or go,
we'll always say hello!

Wow! Your poem is really cool. It made me remember when one of my teachers also went. I still miss her. Your poem has moved me. Thank you for the inspiration and the assurance. Fascinating!!! |

A good write, I can relate. I am curious to know how this situation ended, as I am currently facing a similar incident. Good write, though, if you were looking for comments, the last stanza feels like it is a forced rhyme. Great job!
