We Adapt
August 26, 2004
How quickly we adapt
From free to being trapped
Like we had never known
Just accept the present as our own
Forgetting everything past
And moving on
Blinded, or is it not,
That we have found
The sight?
From summers in Florida
Winters in New York or Paris,
To going nowhere, no time
But still it is the fairest
How quickly we adapt
From luxury to life
Like we had never known
And just accept the present as our own
