Spikes, Punks, Mohawks, And God

Contributed by abnormalpunk on Thursday, 26th August 2004 @ 11:41:52 AM in AEST
Topic: happypoetry

hello again i say
it is i the punk
not the rapper
or the country singer
nor the one who listens to funk

i say to thee
you see me
and think
that im a rebel
which is true
but you think im delinquent
i bet you do

and God forbid
i say im saved
that Christ is alive
and inside me
but then again
i point out
only my outside
is what you see

i praise God
for what hes done in me
and i know
he is alive
all you older people
that disagree with my looks
must say that it is "jive"

"jive" to be saved
and wear my hair spiked
but hey
i am different
and i know it
but so was john the baptist
in the bible
it shows it

God made us all
the white
the black
the punks, the geeks
he made the ones who hate him
even the nazis
just think

"come as you are"
he said to us
and if i dress like you
thats not me
thats you
and lying to the world
you see

so what if you think
that im not real
and that i cant be saved
just remember
its your sin
for judging me
not mine for being myself

this poem is so stereotypically "emo"... a tip for next time... be more original... this write had no umph... i was bored through the whole thing..... (after you left this comment to another poet, I think you and your God need to have a little talk about human kindness).

Don't listen to Rita man...this was an awesome poem...I, too, am not exactly what you would call normal...I don't wear what others do, and I refuse to be like them. I also have been saved, and when people find that out, they don't believe me...Any way...awesome write
