And we're adopting a baby girl! Right now she is 14 months old, and we're naming her Grace Elizabeth.
Her olive skin tone
Against my tan skin tone,
Some may think
It's not the way a family should be.
But it is,
It's perfect.
Some will see us
And wonder why we're together
But I know
It doesn't matter what they think.
We will all welcome her
With open arms
Because it was meant to be this way.
It was meant to be.

Now is when I wish I could be a premium member so I could edit my poems.
At the last minute we decided not to name her Grace Elizabeth. We named her Anna Courtney. So yeah....
