I was so excited when I heard we were getting new neighbors,
It was a November when they moved in just right next door.

I was walking home from school when I first saw him outside,
I liked him from the start and was too nervous to even say "Hi".

I would see him out every now and again,
And wonder if he would talk to me and when.

Then that December towards Christmas time,
Someone gave me his email and screen name and gave him mine.

We finally emailed eachother on Christmas day,
He was everything I wanted and would get him some way.

He was a fireman and emt,
He had his driver's liscence and money.

The next night he invited me over for a while,
It turned out to be longer and i started to smile.

He told me he liked me and thoght I was hot,
But actually it was a lie he really did not.

He only wanted one thing,
And i gave it to him.

It was New Year's night and it was pretty late,
He was over at my house and we couldn't wait.

He seduced me to do what he wanted me to,
He told me he liked me and knew I wanted to, too.

But then as soon as we were done with it,
He got up and left and didn't care enough to sit.

I knew then that that's all he wanted,
It wasn't even good and he didn't keep it protected.

So then that night when he got home and we were talking,
He told me he didn't want to see me anymore and was walking.

I told him I was scared because there was no protection,
He told me I wasn't but if I was to just get an abortion.

He didn't care about me and just went to bed,
And ever since that night there hasn't been one word between us said.

He never cared and I should have known I was being played,
All he wanted was a girl so he could get laid.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
