shadows of love

I watched quietly, in the shadows,
as you sleep upon our bed,
body and mind twisted
By dreams into pleasure.
What words were said to disrobe you?
What touch made you crawl?
What did he say, what did he do
To intrigue, entrance, enthrawl?
I used to watch your eyes
As you made these sounds,
Love and lust, desire.
Now you must close them to find love.
Where is our love’s fire?
Is the man of your dreams
What I used to be,
Or a vision in your head?
I stand in darkness, watching.
Watching you on our bed.

Wow this was a great write! I liked the part about watching her eyes. I know when I'm with someone, if I'm not receiving enough eye contact, I tend to wonder, are they really with me or somewhere else?
Excellent work!
