today
the rain is dripping through my skull,
now forced
to emulate the worm,
lick rotting decay...
(love it like a rose petal)
and impermanent musings
of beetle-like men
who know with beady eyes
i will be forced to die by living,
these hardwood floors and
groaning radiators, rainwater
puddling onto yellowstained mattress --
now this is the life and
grimy semi-painted walls
that flake and drip,
when puke and fall...
all for noting, now.
emulate the worm
Walk to work
and study your boots to lick
the leather,
chew the souls...
an avacodo fridge smelling like 1973
empty,
and before i have a chance to whimper
in the corner, i turn inside out to see
rose petals descend to black...

i will be forced to die by living,
I loved that line but this whole poem was well
written. I liked the uneven cadence of the
lines... it was quite intriguing. I found it joyous
to read some of your poems since I had
neglected to for a while.
