Embellish my world, gracious angel...
Illuminate my dark soul,
Enter, and stay forever...
This song that I sing,
Hymn of love,
Let all the ears of the world hear it...
Open my sightless eyes,
So I may see the beauty of this life,
And everlasting splendor of you yourself...
The scent of roses only last for a season,
Let me follow your memory with my fingertips,
In hopes of finding you waiting for me...
Dancing in the rhythms of a dream,
Surreal...Euphoric...Blissful...
Shelter a kiss, a desire, an illusion...
Hide it so no one can see...
Treason, love, anguish...
Death sleeps in the dawn and your eyes nap with yearning in the sands of my soul...
A solitary face sits next to me and its being baptizes the sadness of existing behind a maze of mirrors...
Life is white like the dawn of dreams.
The night is black like the land without memories.
A voice trapped climbing a tree.
A smile hangs in the absurd silence.
Music puts the ugly crosses to sleep...
Death hides in the prayers of the aged,
And the dreams, a discolored whisper,
In the leafpile of memory...

Your writing is fast maturing, as this piece most saliently represents. Your images are becoming starker and more original, your analogies more poignant. Among the most outstanding lines: Life is white like the dawn of dreams & The night is black like the land without memories. These are downright mythic in tone, and would serve equally well as the opening of a novel or an epic poem. Yet, as transcendent as the foregoing lines are, you really nail it with your closing: Music puts the ugly crosses to sleep... / Death hides in the prayers of the aged, / And the dreams, a discolored whisper, / In the leafpile of memory...
Writing likes this makes me jealous, but also reinforces my standing as your fervent fan. One day, you will put this life you know far behind you--thus, mark my words: you're going places, Lady FleurdeSang. In friendship,
Always. -KAC- |

"The night is black like the land without memories."
Ah ~ M'lady, there be no blackness, nowhere ~ no slumber of death ~ nor evil dream ~
The hounds of hell come tear my body limb from wretched limb, whilst the ravens CAW, and take mine eyes ~ T'is naught that they can do to separate your memories from me. Your words have been carved into the innards of my skull, and upon decay of flesh will still remain for all to see, for all eternity.
