Pray for rain
To wash away the debris
And bring new life
To the barrenness
Pray that her tears
Will never reach
The children of the vale
For they could not bear
Such sorrow
Pray for remorse
So they could understand
Why she never returned
Pray that the rain
Will offer a respite
To her unending sorrow
And misery

I'm a little confused. Why and who is in sorrow and misery? With some work it could be a very nice poem. The first stanza is great.
