And if I fall
Would you come running to my side?
If I cry
Would you wipe away these tears?
And if I prick my finger
Would you make the blood go away?

These tears, darling
they’re mine to give away
These Tears, my friend
they’re yours, and they won’t take no for an answer

And if I killed a man
Would you take my side?
And if I would steal Mary Magdalene's life
Would you be proud of me?
If I made you cry
Would you still smile for me?

With me, darling
I took more than I gave back
With me my friend
We traded secrets, and you ran off with them

You,
I gave you all I had to make you stay
But you,
You never came back
Now you,
You’ve moved on
And if I fall, darling
would you even care at all?
And if these tears were honey
I could feed an army

What if I was a liar
What if I wasn’t sober
What then?
Then who would I be?
