These are such times when life is viewed,

through wistful glance of past glad grace;

Invest our hearts with love renewed,

for kindred souls our thoughts embrace.

I find it a bit perplexing that more people haven't commented on your work--it's very good. Although a bit on the short side (but who's to say that's a bad thing?), you describe the scene perfectly. Very nice rhyme, and overall a memorable poem.
