It’s Good To Hear From You
August 20, 2004
Hey there,
It’s been awhile,
Hasn’t it?
And here I am,
Coming back to say,
Hope that everything is okay,
And you are happy.
It’s been months,
Since we’ve talked,
And years since,
I’ve seen you.
And every time,
You said goodbye,
I wondered when,
I’d hear from you again…
I love you friend,
So say hello, and do not go…
Like something from a story,
Your timing is so great.
I send you all my wishes,
And then you show your face.
To say,
Thanks for thinking of me,
I’m sorry I’ve been gone.
It’s just that it has been so long,
And now I am feeling,
My heart warming.
The gaps are being filled,
My vision is clearing,
And I can start to rebuild.
How great to know you’re better,
And life is looking up.
My prayers are coming true for you,
They’re starting to get through.
Just wanted to let you know,
I cannot wait until then.
In just a couple weeks,
We’ll laugh and talk again.
So thanks for coming back,
If only to postpone,
At least I now know,
You are not alone.
It's been months since we've talked,
But this time when you say goodbye,
I will not wonder when,
I’ll hear from you again.
