I Need A Hug

Sometimes I just need a hug,
When the pain gets too hard to shrug,
It stays with you no matter what,
You try so hard, but leave it will not.
Wish you were here to give me a cuddle,
To help make sense out of my little muddle,
I long to be held safely in your arms,
Protected from sadness & any other harms.
Want your arms wrapped around me so much,
Oh how I long for our hearts to touch,
When you’re around I feel loved,
Instead of feeling kicked & shoved.
Feeling your strong body against mine,
Makes all the scary things seem fine,
It’s just you & me in our own little world,
Inside your love I long to be curled.
My soul is calling out for yours,
It knows that you have opened your doors,
To your core you have allowed me in,
I feel the love you hold for me deep within.
I feel so secure & loved next to you,
You make my heart red instead of royal blue,
Later tonight when you come home,
I have such love that needs to be shown.
