Jem

Topic: oops

Dire clams will you not let me in, I
won't steal your Jem, only to see its
fiery light, taken in from first sight.
I'll sit and stare, sane as that starey
eyed Pegasus that spans the curtained
sky with flood lights to devour shadows,
a devilish horde, always lurking in the
distant, never so far to reach you in a
instant. Dancing to the flicker of a
familiar cantos, draped dilemma, pickled
rumours, gypsies forked tale sprouting
from dark endeavours to hang on
peoples ears as fashioned branding
irons. Can it be a wonder you stray
in puddles, tear drops re-born to
quench stains that have tainted your
path. The way uncarved to your sight,
the way written in deep respite,
scriptures hidden to naive
adventurers who would ransack
your soul to claim what rightly
belongs to you. Still, as our
numbered days count themselves,
a private joke of the powers unknown,
I'll remain your guide for a thousand
incarnations, the scent around your
hair will lead me to you across the
ocean, the gee you poured in my soul
will keep you warm through reckless
nights what would sink others without a
question I say this now, its is no pact as
the tide to the sea or sea to the shore,
its is a selfish love you see, it
cannot be held and must be let
free as the air we breath.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
