O mom, in our house darkness reigns
Please, light up a lamp with your smiles!
Has my dad not come? Some where I know
He is held up on his way, he will turn up at dawn
But don’t spill those tears, I love you mom always
I love dad and my little brother; mom, look at him,
He sleeps like a baby angel beautifully dreaming
I will carry him to school if I rise in the morning
Oh mom, in this gloom of night you are crying
Through fears of death your heart is wrenching
Perhaps I can not see your tears tomorrow, but
Mom, I am not afraid of death; in your heart
I shall live for ever through my love.
I won’t forget you even after my death
Believe me mom! I shall come back to you
And take rebirth as your baby by grace of God
Oh mom, outside the beautiful moon still shines
Twinkling stars shine like many diamond flowers
Mom, here comes the glowing red chariot of Dawn
Blazing with fiery flames; and the stars are crying,
The angels are coming; they will take me far away
Dear mom, before I leave you all, I want to hug you
And to kiss my little brother; I want to see my daddy
As I take leave, now bid me farewell with tears of love!
-The girl said good bye to her mother and left to Heaven-
The sun that rose with reddened eyes was in a dilemma
Whether he should start his journey on that morning
Or he should mourn the demise of an angel by hiding
Behind the clouds that covered the eastern horizon!

Venkat, this is so amazingly beautiful. The tears are streaming down my cheeks. It is hard to lose anyone, but to lose a beloved child is almost more than one can bear. She was strong and glorious in the eyes of the heavens. She will come again.

This was hard for me to read, but I'm glad I did. It brings back a lot of memories, but you somehow make it all seem better.
Beautiul write, Venkat. I will treasure this poem forever.

A true artwork of design. This poem spells pain and anguish, yet releases an inner joy of knowing one is at peace in the arms of the heavens. It is sad when we lose someone, hard to deal with, but when the angels open their wings, and we feel comforted by them, then we can go on, knowing the heavens listen to our sorrowful hearts.
Beautiful my friend, Many blessings to you!!!
Angel Always...godspeed...joni |

If I had a child who was dying I could not bear to have him say these words to me. This is a very goos write and portrays courage and love. |

goodness man this was heartwrenching I
felt tears come to my eyes as I read this. I
loved the darkness, pain, and hope that was
expressed throughout. You draw me into your
poems time and time again so it is hard to
say which of your masterpieces is my
favourite, but I am glad I didn't miss this one. Ah man this was just plain beautiful.
