His Earth Angel

Contributed by PoeticMystery on Sunday, 22nd August 2004 @ 10:38:46 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

I noticed him
From where I was sitting.
Staring in her eyes
Contemplating about his life
Like she had all the answers
I am surprised he did not cry.
I could feel his happiness
Rays of it all around
He was in love
But he thought about his life
I could see it in his stare
And all the affliction
Was healed by her touch
As though it were holy
But I am sure he believes
That she is his hero
I am sure he believes
She is an angel
Sent down to save him
From the hell he created
I believe she will save him
Because she is his angel
I noticed it in his eyes
...In his stare
She is his baby girl
She is his earth angel
Though he screwed up
More than his share
I believe he will hold her
And it will be his Heaven
I believe he will try
To give her a great life
And the mother too,
For the beautiful baby girl
She brought into this world
I believe she is his earth angel.

Incredible! Maybe it was the personal moment I had while reading it... or maybe it was the break I had to take while in search of a Kleenex! Either way; Incredible!
