Sad reality
Life was perfect
In make believe
I pretended to be
So nieve
Tried to hide
All the pain
Tried to hide
Each
And every tear
As I heard
Screaming
And crying.
Daddy
Beat momma
Again
Black and blue
She lays there
Crying
As he sips
Another *****' beer
And rolls another blunt
She is to weak
To fight back
Now
Thinks she deserves it
And it the best
For us.
But momma
Can't you see
I need more
You deserve better
He's a bum
And I hate him
He ain't my
Daddy
Can't we just run away?

This really hit home with me
This is something i grew up
watching all my life, it's hard
when your watching your mom
get hurt and there's nothing
you can do.
