Memories aren't forever

I lost my memories
because I couldn't bear to see your smile
The one that I so blindly
turned away from
Do you remember when we used to be friends?
I can't believe I forgot that day
So many pieces to this dying puzzle
Is it really that easy...to let go?
I'm so young
and I'm so vain
How could I
have caused so much pain?
Little hands holding on
to this withering reality
as it unintentionally spills blood.
Not blood. Something worse
My love. So battered and torn
Who am I?

I enjoyed this I think because i am losing someone who I want to hang on to. I liked
the unique line structure it made for an
interesting read. I liked the title as well it
really caught my eye.

Yeah that was really good, it really got my attention. I really relate to it because I feel like I'm losing someone special, and I wish that I was able to let go and forget his smile.
I really liked how it ended too. I just think that people can put so much of themselves into someone they love that their identity becomes wrapped into theirs and when they and their love is gone.. part of our own identity is lost.
But whatever, maybe that's not what you meant. Really good job. I really liked it. |
