hang on to the morning bliss
waking to a peaceful state
but reality hits, naivity wanes
don't know if I can face another day
I've tried so hard to forget
to turn my thoughts from you
to find some way to go on
but I find myself back at square one
I let you into my life
where no person has been
let you glimpse the side of me
that no one else could see
I'll go back to being numb inside
what a fool I must have been
to think there was something there
but I guess I was wrong about you
I'm being pulled under
deeper by the moment
I am drowning, suffocating
must get free from the anchor that is you

Its a nice metaphor. I thought it would rhyme after the first two lines, but it didn't, and was better for it, in my opinion.
