Fond memories abound,
dancing spritely
to an internal tune
The familiar lyrics
reminding me of how
things used to be
When we twirled with abandon
under the old chestnut tree
Do you still remember
when I carved our initials
on the bow overhead?
Now our love's forsaken
and you're with someone else
Though, I have never taken
another to our special place
I sit in our spot, alone
and let the music take me back
to those happier times
when we sipped sweet nectar
from the lovers' flask

So romantic and gooy, and bitter sweet.
The ladies love this stuff. Better than flowers and candy.
