Waiting

Contributed by SlimStaple on Saturday, 21st August 2004 @ 05:50:03 PM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

Waiting
On a bench with peeling
Green paint
Is where he sits
Every day
Waiting.
Long ago the bus stopped
Making that stop
But every day
He sits there
Waiting.
People gawk
And jeer
everyday
As he
Waits
Though many say that
The bus will never come
Waiting is pointless
They say.
But he still
Waits
Every day
He Waits.
He knows,
Deep in his heart,
That the bus will
One day come.
Until that day,
He will wait.

I agree with Jenny and Rita, I like this a lot. I can see how this is inspirational, you just have to look past the literal meaning, I like this a lot. Keep writing!

This seems to be symbolic. The bus must stand for something.
Sometimes things aren't as they seem
