Twisted Faith

Contributed by mdmorash on Friday, 20th August 2004 @ 11:52:49 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Smiles are painted on those who don’t care,
While prayers are given thought their not aware.
Words are spoken though their meanings are changed,
To fit the hypocrite though they are strange.

Claiming the virtues of Jesus they say,
We will be of those who’re saved on that day.
Then, as they caw, say that you will be lost,
For to their coffers you’ve not paid the cost.

They are of virtue and we are of sin,
But really they’re men who’re made out of tin.
They act the part when there’s someone to watch,
But when alone it’s all porno and scotch.

Money’s the god that they worship and love,
Hidden beneath them with wings from a dove.
And they will tell you, “Send money, I’ll pray!
But if you don’t you will not find the way.”

Some of them pray on your darkness and fear,
They tell you the things you don’t want to hear.
They say that forgiveness is your last chance,
Then on the TV do nothing but prance.

And all of the souls that they lead astray,
Lost to their lust by the end of the day.
Do they think God will thank them in time?
Their twisted faith is a blasphemers crime.

So unto you I now feel I must give,
A warning or word while your soul does live.
Hear not what they say and from their face turn,
False prophets will fall together and burn.

They feed like starving hyenas on the weak, poor, frail and frightened masses who have been spoon-fed religion all their lives and fear what these demons say, believing every word. I hate these bible thumpers who use God and Heaven to line their pockets and back their sins.

I agree with Rita. They prey on the weak and promise salvation with monetary donation. Hypocrites! Ticks me off!! Nicely put.
