HEAVY HEART SMILES

Topic: SadPoetry

"HEAVY HEART SMILES!"

I love my dear Linda Lady,
"I can't cut your hair anymore," she stated boldly!
My heart fell clear to my extremities,
My heavy heart suddenly burdened with crises!

My heart exclaims, "Oh, Please God, No!"
But I reply, "Linda are you all right?"
My heart replies, "You are my hero!"
Bold courageous, accepting cancerous fight!

"It's spreading , Connie, in my bones!"
My heavy heart hears and bemoans.....
My heart says, "This shouldn't be happening!"
I say to her, "I'm sorry--with much caring!"

My heavy heart says, "Is that all you can think
to say? How trite!"
"I wish dear Linda, I could help!" my voice kept bright!
My hearts says, "You're so young, dear.
My life I've lived, I'd gladly do this for you, I'm sincere!"

Words we never speak, out of fear.....
So afraid we might say something to hurt--unkind appear?
From the same school we graduated.
Cutting my hair, so many years I never counted!

My lady Linda's life sadly lived.
With all her heart she tried, little happiness retrieved
With heavy heart, I could assist from her home to move.....
Being cheerful, helpless, her burden I can't remove!

Standing on the sidelines as her grief passes by.
Frozen in place, should I let her see me cry?
Would that be so wrong?
She would know then just how much I cared.....
Before she dies!!!
My heavy heart shared or spared?

"So many times in my life
I've felt complete helplessness,
emptiness, returning all I have to give.......
Love!"

*Heavy Heart Smiles!*

This is such a ravaging disease. All we can do it love them and give them support for as long as we possibly can. Life is not fair, but life does go on. I have experienced it first hand several times and love is all you can give.

Connie, I believe that you should let her know how helpless you feel and how pained you are for her ... I think you should take to her a copy of this wonderful, heart wrenching poem. Your words, your heart, your thoughts are all right there. It is a beautiful piece of art. Dedicate it to her in life, in person, as opposed to the alternative. Just a thought from a young pup that don't know when to shut up.

A truly beautiful poem.

My dear Connie Mom, yes, if only hearts could speak...... absolutely true. I wish it was possible.
You are in difficult situation, yet, our hearts speak without our knowing - that is what I believe.
With all my love, aika baby:-)

How sad this is. But you should give a copy of this to your dear friend, letting her know how you feel and being there to comfort as much as you can is what to do. Faithful friend to the end with no regrets.
