The Poet Within

Contributed by eatfresh22 on Thursday, 19th August 2004 @ 07:24:15 PM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

SILENT!
An unborn passion
Undisturbed, sensitive
Drowning in beauty
Struggling to live.

NOTICED!
Beginning to feel,
To think, to be
Subtle and gentle
Arising powerfully.

AWAKENED!
Life seeps out
Gasping for words
Thoughts undying
Ideas to be heard.

ESCAPE!
Pen......paper
Ink flows free
My heart condensed to liquid
For the entire world to see.

As when you read it to me, I think this is a fine piece. Perhaps italics would be better than caps though, for the initial words?
Enough criticisms here, though. Keep up the very excellent work.

I agree with the above comments! They do like it. I agree with them. But this comment isn't about them, it's about you.
Your heart condensed to liquid/For the entire world to see
If it's your heart that comes out eac time you write, it's a beautiful thing. 'Course I knew that already. Shut it Andrew.
I love you Carrie, take care.

Well done! I'm a fool for metapoetry so you had me by the title and the note at the top. But... you exceeded my expectations with this piece!

What a great tribute to poetry - a most worthy subject!

Well done,
SNM

Great! Simply incredible! What can I say that hasn't already been said? You have a great gift and it is very good to see and read someone who shares the passion of expression so deeply and vividly in their heart. God Bless you... and my real name is Darnell Brown and I am the author of “City Limits”, a poetry book that I’ve written (go to www.citylimitsthebook.com to check out my site, there’s a place where poets can get their work posted exclusively on their own page and maybe dedicate it to someone) One of the reasons I posted this message is to let you know that I’m starting a magazine called “When The Pen Hits The Pad” and it’s going to be a place where artists, by that I mean more than just poets but writers, scriptwriters, painters, photographers etc. where they can have their work out there for people to see and possibly put them with people who can help them get to where they want to go. If you are interested in being a part of our first issue, send me and email to thewordzwithin@yahoo.com and tell me what you think and what you want to summit Tell all your friends who might be interested and keep up the good work!!!!!!!

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
