Pursed lips are high in fashion,
No one needs to speak a single word,
Silence in itself becomes too noisy,
Even though nothing can be heard
Wrinkled foreheads symbolize joy,
Oh! What a beautiful sight,
No relaxation of the muscles,
Just keep frowning day and night
Watery eyes bring out colour,
Look how meaninglessly they stare,
They be the eyes of our young ones,
Why does no one care?

A very grim reminder of our world today and how everything is going to the dumps very soon...especially with the burdens already placed upon ones soo young. But it is the price of progress for each year that passes and for each new developement children needs to spend more time in classes to learn everything they need to survive in the "information" world.... if you want children to be happy move them to a place like the village in M Night Syamalan's movie "The Village" where they live in rustic conditions having happy childhood but apart form the world....
Oh well... a very thought evoking write...nice work. |
