I've thought lots of times like this with my recent ex,as long as his heart is happy I shall be too, because I love him so.But truth is,it hasn't made me feel better,he might be happy but I'm heartbroken as hell because of his happiness(which comes from not being with me anymore)...Does that make any sense at all?But in the end,if his happiness brings you the same,then all the best to you,you have a very generous heart.Nicely written,

This made me think about my ex, who just broke off with me a few days ago. Like you said, he'll never see me cry for him. So I think this is a poem i can really relate to. thanks.

Wanting the happiness of your love above anything else shows a very pure heart. Has a touch of sadness to it but is beautifully written. Loved the flow of this verse.

| I came to this site because I just lost my first love, and reading poetry helps me sort out my thoughts. So I came to the lost love section and read some pretty good poems, but then I read yours. It made me cry so much, but not in a bad way, it just struck a cord with me. That's truly a gift that you can speak to the heart like that. Its because of your poem that I joined this site nad wrote my own poem. It's also in the lost love section, it's called Watching, check it out if you want altho it's not as good as yours.
