Shouting at a Brick Wall

Contributed by Spell_Weaver on Wednesday, 18th August 2004 @ 06:48:51 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

All I want to do is cry...
I'm raising my voice and shaking down walls
What happened to the girl who was standing tall?
Have I found another? Is that what I want?
To many, my heart is something to taunt!
I rock back and forth, I must be going mad...
I've had to give up the best I've ever had.
IT'S NOT FAIR! I'm still screaming alone in my mind.
How can I be forced to leave it all behind?!
I look at him now, and I wish he were dead!
It's been too long since my hunger was fed.
How can he think I can live without him in my life?!
Love, to me, is only trouble and strife...
No more shall I let it flow through my veins.
Who knows if he'll ever come back again....
And all I can do is cry...

Love can be trouble and strife, but it can be wonderful too if shared with the right person.

well done
