TWO FUTURES FOR AMERICA

Contributed by steeleyes on Wednesday, 18th August 2004 @ 10:06:10 AM in AEST
Topic: political

A man who stands proud
Not a hick, crass and loud
A man with integrity and an honest way
Not a sleazy liar who's had his day

A man who is trusted, known to be straight
Not a sad, unlearned fool, devious and second rate

A man who has lived, who has served with skill
Not an AWOL loser who never will

A man who has the knowledge to win
To lead a bold America to sanity again

A man who can reach across the divide
That seperates all on either side

A man of peace but who is true and strong
A man who can judge well what is right and wrong

A man not a puppet, not a weak thoughtless pawn
But a seasoned statesman, and true patriot son

A man, not a crude fool the world despises
Who'd make a dignified leader, good in a crisis

Look at Kerry and look at Bush
Look well and long and true
Two futures for America

And it is all up to YOU

Yes it is up to US.

The question is, are enough of us willing to choose the path of peace.

I know I am:

You are right..... it is up to us. But the "man" you speak of should be GOD. America has no family values or any morals anymore and if you sit back and think..............we are not as great of a country or human beings as we think we are. I am fortunate to live in America..... but our society is a complete disgrace.
