Too tired
An avalanche of facts
To greet me
Books, the tall stack
To be studied in full
Weary, it is coming in droves
The panic, jagged emotions
Pondering, the shock
When the test paper is
Place on the desk
Unable to close
My eyes, though sleepy
Thoughts of next day’s
Fear, a bone-grinding torture
No rest, even when sleep should come
Heart-wrenching horror, of lessons
Unremembered, forgotten facts
No clarity of mind
Hope of excellance
Too far, unpredictable
Worry, it comes
Like blinding whirlwind
Too many chapters unread
Untouched, too late!
This is my misery
A headache.

My condolences. I remember what it felt like and I am starting college myself next week; but when you're over 40 and tired of trying to learn stuff on your own... |
