Moving On
I thought this would have been
Something we could've transcended
I'm just proved wrong again
We're too torn to be mended
Walking away from all of this
Not looking back with a glance
I wonder what all we missed
This was all a wasted chance
Forgetting everything in the past
It was something that wouldn't last
I'm moving on with almost nothing
Only with the emotions I have sunk in
This was all a mistake to begin with

Thesis-Antithesis...
...to synthesis...
Perhaps this is how we begin to grow up.....via "creative destruction" and "orderly chaos".
Your work almost sounds like something I've read. Ever heard of G. W. F. Hegel (1770-1831) before? |

Maybe it wasn't a mistake, and if it was...it wasn't anyways because it was set there for you to learn off of...I sure did..."everything happens for a reason" I've been hearing that a lot lately and I'm definetly starting to believe it...awesome peom by the way!
