Mirror Image

Contributed by UnfallenTears on Tuesday, 17th August 2004 @ 08:53:50 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Past the mirror image
A heart silently breaks
Past dreams lie, buried by time
And memories of regretted mistakes

The mirror lies
Holding a backward reflection
A heart beats on the right
While keeping rhythm with imperfection

Past the mirror image
A soul starved for satisfaction
And unfallen tears gather
Flooding out the sanity of reaction

Not reflected in the mirror
Lying broken and discouraged
If you seek truth beyond the reflection
Look past the mirror image

i see the reflection in the mirror that does not tell the tale
of the wonderful person who has traveled through a terrible hell
if there was a way to bring light to their life
i would endure a part of their strife

loved the write. let em know if you need to chat.

I was drawn to the poem because I have a poem that has the same title. This was a brilliant piece, I'm so glad I managed to read it. :)
