i promised i'd never leave you

Topic: FriendshipPoetry

dry your eyes i'm right here holding your hand
but know that if you take your life
i shall have to take mine too
for wherever you go, i'm going with you

please put the knife down i'm begging you to stay
i need you tomorrow
and the day after that too, well all the way to sunday
don't ever forget that i love you

there's more to life than perfect days and no pain
remember for there to be a rainbow
there has to first be some rain

can i love you like a friend never has
tell you i need you and spoil you with hugs
i'll give you all of me and more if you desire it to be

i wanna dance with you like there's music everywhere
i wanna make you move with me and force a smile
i know your tryin so hard to hide your tears
but why, with me your free to be you

there's no need to be scared
i'm always right here with you
i promise to never leave
i promise

i wanna be your smile when your so down you wanna jus give it all up
i wanna be your home when the world seems to leave you stranded
and give you peace of mind to make it through the night
with the knife in your hand

if i could i'd sing you the most beautiful song
and i'd write out that perfect verse and sing it to you
all day long

so no more tears we're off to find better days
where you constantly smile and laugh at the stupid things i say
today is made for you because you always made days for me.
