motivation for my lines

Contributed by taintedorange21 on Tuesday, 17th August 2004 @ 04:26:59 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

i dedicate each and every word to you
the point, don't matter none, cuz you'll never see em'
or read them for as long as i sat here
tryin to find the perfect rhymes
you never been captivated, not by mines
and to think you: my motivation...

i sits here again and again
hour after hour, rearranging the same
26 letters to express what i'm feelin
for you to go and say it's OK
it ain't ok to tell me what i feel
ain't nothin more than a feelin'
that what i write is nothin
like anything you're to ever see in stores
you say it's just words
i say it's my heart talkin to yours
but you won't listen
i've even written it down,
but how many more ways
must i scramble these letters,
words, phrases, and verbs
on paper or in plain english
for you to understand what i'm tryin to say?

you: the only critic i been trying to please
it's jus how i view the world through my almond browns
i only want the people to understand
my minds thoughts, dreams and fantasy's
I wanna be read worldwide and you's have the audacity to scream
"you're thoughts ain't worth a dime, there's no way you can compete"
well maybe the whole world could read em for free
and you could cast dem down for lovin my rhymes
or for the simple fact of them lovin me
don't matter none cuz the limit, is my orange sky
and well...
"you ain't nothin more to me but motivation for my lines"
