Mom: The Real Thing

I dreamt of a mom, not a mother.
I wanted guidance, not drug influenced or alcohol induced.
I dreamt of someone caring, and flowing with the goodness of a family’s love.
I wanted kisses, and words of “I love you.”
I dreamt of things we could say and do.
I dreamt of a mom’s love that would last…
I dreamt of a mom who would love me unconditionally.
Regardless of good or evil I’ve performed.
