In darkness shroud beneath it’s thick embrace.
Has fear no boundaries in this mocking night?
Arrhythmic beating heart becomes displaced.
In slumbers grip the horror claims my sight.
My Madman stalks with angry gaited strides.
He brings me terrors from his tortured prime.
Distorted features come to me besides.
His will imposed upon the depths of time.
Impudence face this quandary hell imparts.
I call to courage come to me in fact.
Let will be mine to yield as fear departs.
Awaken with the day, my life intact.
In mornings light let peace remain in me
To know that dreams despoil what’s meant to be.
