For years I've run this race.
A load of * if you ask.
It's brought me nothing but sorrow.
Naught but regret of the past.
I'm tired of people judging;
taking false images of me.
I'm tired of this *.
Open your eyes and you'll see.
People telling lies;
Living lives of such deceit.
I can't help but be exausted
when this * does repeat.
I think I'll end it now.
I put the blade up to my wrist.
Then I think of you.
I think of how much I'll be missed.
So I fall into your arms.
Tired, but not alone.
You may never know how much I love you.
Despite how weary I have grown.

this is a bit long, so i do agree with afterdark. i think that you could have made this more powerful with cutting out some lines. i love the ending. i dont know what the asterisks are for either, so those got annoying. and as for the whole suicidal bit in this, there never seemed to be good enough justification for it, and i felt no emotion whatsoever in this. |
