Stayed as Friends

Things are
not going as I planned
I just can't find a way
2 understand
This situation we're in
Maybe we should've satyed as friends

We thought no harm
We thought no shame
Who would've thought
We were suspects 2 B blamed
I thought I feelings would grow
But at least now I know
Maybe we should've stayed as friends

It was good in da beginning
but slowly it started to die
and sometimes when I get off da phone w/ u
sit in my room and cry
Why couldn't we just be more?
So much more
But maybe we should've stayed as friends

Even though
I neva told you how I feel
Well boy here's da deal
How I feel fa you, I can't let it show
and I just can't let you go
But there's something deep inside my heart
That always tears me apart.
It's da hurtful truth I dare not say
And that hurts me each and everyday
and everytime I see ya face
I just lookk and turn away
Then you look me straight in my eyes
and I always seem to hold in my cries
cuz i think of our first kiss
Baby you're the #1 thing dat I miss
Cuz I can't see me w/ no one else
And I can't leave you and talk 2 some1 else
I want 2 always B w/you
and forever love you
But as much I as I hate 2 say
Maybe we should've stayed as friends.

dont short cut letters, that just short cuts the poem. i do not like wasting my time, reading a poem that has no effort put forth in even typing it right.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
