When I'm gone

Contributed by Ms_superior on Sunday, 15th August 2004 @ 08:46:53 PM in AEST
Topic: StoryPoetry

All I ever asked for was a little TLC
Tender Loving Care
Instead you completely ignored me
Acted as though i wasn't even there
never acknowleging my existence one bit
well guess what, i cant keep putting up with this shh..
see revenge is viscous yet sweet
and more intense with heat.
but revenge is something i will never seek.
I'll just let nature take it's call
after all
it takes more energy to be mad, than it does to be happy
takes more muscles to frown than it does to smile
so once i get my feet on the ground
i'll be ready to leave, it just might take a while
What you're doing is smart, no doubt it's very clever
but you wont be able to treat me like this forever
because soon i'll be strong enough to leave and never turn back
never re-track, the steps i took, the way you looked when i said good-bye
dont worry about where i'm going, just know that i'll get there
just know that i'll get somewhere in life, having a successful carrer, and being a wonderful life
and there's nothing you can do or say, that will change that for me in any way
but if tonight i leave this earth, dont cry at my funeral beacuse you didnt cry at my birth
the worst day of my life was my arrival on earth,
so watch them pull me out of my hearse
and drop me in the dirt, and move on with your life
as if you never knew me from the start
erase any trace of me from your mind body and heart
forget about me and all the times you did me wrong
just sit there and listen to that boring funeral song
while you're saying in your head..
Dang I cant belivev she's gone
