The mystery of love

Contributed by FleurdeSang on Sunday, 15th August 2004 @ 03:05:01 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

As the candles burn out,
Final shadows flicker upon the walls…
I sit alone and ponder,
As darkness washes over me…
Thoughts swirl in my mind,
It’s only you I cannot decipher…
I assume I cannot live,
Without being where you are…
I am the one no one sees…
I know details I should not,
Still perceiving nothing but you…
And I die a sweet death…
The winds call to me,
Speaking of nothing but you…
I, who sings at night to the sound of the sea…
I, who speaks to the luminescent moon to understand the mystery of a love affair…
I hear your words, like little fires burning at the bottom of my heart…
Inside my life, the music plays…
New poetry in memory of you…
Vast oceans of freedom, days of celebration I won’t forget…
The cold winter won’t take you from my life…
Desires…memories…what mystery, this love of mine!
Prisoner of time… locked in memory…
I’ve never again smelt the infinite perfume of a rose in the morning…
The voice inside me speaks only of us,
Like sweet agony this faraway dream…
It keeps me awake …
It’s not a farewell song, but melodious music,
An orchestra I play just for you…
My lonely room is full of you, and your radiance…
I dreamed at length, and all the world’s distress and anguish,
I forgot that day…
A caress… a kiss… a whisper… a sigh…
All that you do is a sweet melody to my heart…
For one glorious moment, I am one with you…
My celestial angel, stay with me forever…
Do not fret, for my love is not feigned…
It is as real and as profound as the pure moon …
Do not fret, for the candle is alight only for you…
Only you, always you…
I love you.

a great emotional poem - nice ending too - its a shame that love sometimes vanishes at least you have this poem to recollect.
