Judgement Day

Contributed by Dralion on Saturday, 14th August 2004 @ 09:23:47 PM in AEST
Topic: ChristianPoetry

". . . whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me"
Matthew 25:40

What did you do for the least of mine?

I fed the hungry.
But did you ask why they were hungry?

I gave water to the thirsty.
But did you ask why they had no water?

I invited strangers in.
But did you ask why they were strangers?

I clothed the naked.
But did you ask why their clothes were?

I visited those in prison.
But did you ask why they were there?

I tenended to the sick.
But did you look at the disease?

I agree with this wholeheartedly. It's not the attitude of giving that's wanted, but the heart. Just as good works is not the same as a good heart. Nice work.

We need not be selfish and think of only ourselves. Giving is receiving.

A lot of people think giving to receive means material things on earth.

To give a gift, one receives a gift.

My gift in giving is love. I receive my love from my Heavenly Father. Because I do what His word tells me to do each day.

My health right now is not very great. I have faith I will have more days because I was placed here on earth to spread the word.

The Lord will take me when He is ready. Until then, I will always try to fulfil His promise.

Thank you for posting.

Yes, claiming the name of a christian, is not all there is to it. Acting like one is.

And that means, you must humble yourselves, have patience and love deeply. If you do these things, you will never have to bite your tongue. Smile, help others. If someone is displeasing, love him, not his shortcomings. Say yes, or no and mean it. Pray for all.
