Charley the Pearl and I

Contributed by norm on Saturday, 14th August 2004 @ 08:59:48 AM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

Charley, the BLOW passed us by,
Without even saying a HI,
The Pearl and I say,
It wasn't our day,
In Florida, we all thank the sky.

I am so happy to hear that you are safe and sound, Norm! I am sitting in New England watching the coverage on television (the scary coverage!) and worrying over loved ones in FL... I got through to my sister last night to know that she's safe - but am still fearing for others in Charley's path.

Glad to hear that Charley missed you,
SNM

Norm, I'm so glad you're OK
that Charley is gone by your way
And now in the sun
you can play and run,
glad that bloke didn't spoil your day

Why Norm.......I wasn't worried in the least!
I knew the Old Charley would dare attack you and Pearl.......besides you were both hiding under the bed......He couldn't have found you under there anyway!
Was so sad tho........many people lost their lives in the great big blow.
I'm so happy you kept your head down low!
Wonderful news that you and Pearl came thru
Warm hugs,
I love your good news limericks best of all!
