How do I Look?

Contributed by rockshv on Thursday, 31st October 2002 @ 09:20:00 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

She’s in the corner waiting to be judge
She looks down as she fidgets
How do I look?
Is my hair in the right place?
It starts to get cold
No one comes her way
For some reason her clothes doesn't seem to match
Her teeth are too crooked
She decides not to smile
These pants are too tight
And her make up isn't quite right
She doesn't want to walk
Too many people are staring
She goes back inside
I will go out another day

i really enjoyed this piece, you kept it very simple, and it was quick to read but it provides great imagery and well as capturing the imagination. for me personally it made me think how most people are concerned with their looks into days society instead of the beauty within. thankyou for sharing this piece
