The Man Staring Back

Shadows fall upon wall
To cover me up and all
I don't wanna be what you think I am
I look in the mirror
And I see what you want of me
A homicial maniac
A self hating poet
A human who lives to serve you

I am just another man
Who relies on songs to spead a message
To express my feelings, my emotions, my life
Some say music is just another product
Well, lemme tell you my friend, it is an expression
It's a way for us to show our feelings

But, it turns out, all is lost when no one pays attention to detail
This will just show just how the system will fail
I am a failure placed on earth for man's entertainment
A piece of waste no one wants
A tortured soul no man wants to see, because of me
You don't wanna be me, I don't wanna be you

Great write, from this poem I can tell you were raised in the city.
