I remember it every time I close my eyes,
How I was your world and you were mine
I remember how we used to be.
But I want to forget how much you loved me!
I wish you would stop seeing me, just leave me alone
Because sometimes it's ok but other times it's wrong
Sometimes when you hold me I am happy and free
But the times you push me away, it hurts- can't you see?
And you hold the power to wipe away all my tears,
You have the power to keep my heart in the clear
Of another broken heart, another impossible wish
Just hold me once more, just one more sweet kiss
I question whats going on in your head
But I can't forget all the times you said
"I love you baby and I'm always yours"
"You're the one I love the most, you're the one that I adore"
To think of the times love had me flying so high
Just confuses me more because we never tried
Now it's hide and seek our hearts are playing,
And though my heart keeps breaking, I keep saying
You hold the power to wipe away all my tears,
You have the power to keep my heart in the clear
Of another broken heart, another impossible wish
Just hold me once more, just one more sweet kiss.

| Thanks-I do agree, I was writing it more as lyrics then a poem but lyrics and poetry can go hand in hand.... |
