I didn't forget

Contributed by Dusty on Friday, 13th August 2004 @ 04:08:45 PM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

How could you think I had forgotten about all our happy times?
I can't believe you think I really could have left it all behind,
I remember every detail of everything we did,
I remember it all so well even though we were just kids,
Sweet kisses on the side walk, dancing in the rain,
Soft caresses on my cheek took away the pain,
Pink hair and holy jeans, your ring close to my heart,
Oldies music blasting, soft laughter in the dark,
The smell of cold wet leather, the depth of silent smiles,
I think I've forgotten nothing though it's been awhile,
So when you think that noone really cares now what you do,
Think of me and smile and know that I remember you.

I can relate to that. Since I move away 2 years ago, it's been hard to keep contact with alot of my friends, but every summer when I go to visit, they know I still care :)

Good write!

How very sweet Dusty.......to remind an old friend that you haven't forgotten them or their way at all!
How tender touching too! I loved this poem.
