My little girl is leaving me
today I'm feeling really sad
but I must not show my feelings
instead I must hide it and feel glad
I help her to get ready
for her big step in life
I do her hair, pack her lunch
I fuss and hope she'll be alright
I look at her closely
I have to realise
that she is growing up now
but for me
she'll always be my baby
in a school girls disguise

Aww, this is so sweet! She's lucky to have such a caring mother like you. Take care.

The first day of school is always so hard. I cried at her first 1/2 day of K and then again at her first full day of 1st. I wonder if I will make it thise year without tears??? It's so sad to think of your little girl growing up...next comes dances, and proms and ~GASP~ Boys, cars ~shudders~ sweet write tho!!!
Best,
~Dusty~ |

Awwww how sweet!!! I am not a mother but I have been in this situation before....from both sides..
As a teacher I have seen many a mom shed a tear when they drop off their baby for their first day at school...
Lovely write...
